Washing dirty cloth nappies in 4 simple steps:

    Step 1: Remove solids
Drop poo in the loo and store the used cloth nappy in a dry pail.

    Step 2: Pre-wash cycle
Run a pre-wash cycle 40-60 degrees with detergent every 1-2 days. This removes the majority of soiling and gets your nappies ready for the main-wash. Store nappy in a dry pail until the main wash.

    Step 3: Main-wash cycle
Run a long main-wash cycle 40-60 degrees with detergent every 2-3 days.

    Step 4: Hang to dry
Air dry nappies or use a clothes/tumble dryer.

A lot of thought has gone into the design of these nappies. They are easy to use. Unfortunately I’m still yet to find a brand of nappies that don’t leak. I use these nappies with the double insert and as many boosters that will fit and it’s still not enough. The wee goes through all layers and I’ll be lucky to get 2 hours out of the nappy. I have to change his clothes every time I change a nappy. I have no idea how these are supposed to last all night with the night booster! They don’t last 2 hours for me. I’ve ordered some special boosters for heavy wetters from overseas using a breakthrough material as the core. I’m hoping this can eliminate my problem as I have bought so many of these reusable Nappies. All brands I have tried have the same issue though. I would also suggest to loosen the elastic in the leg by a centimeter, it’s way too tight. The inserts take 3 days to dry without sun. I don’t even know if they are dry by then I have to put them in the dryer after 48 hours they are still damp. I bought an indoor dry rack to try and overcome the fact the inserts absorb moisture from the air outside but because it’s been raining non stop they just won’t dry. I’m sure they’d dry quick if the sun were out with dry wind. Overall I like the nappy, but needs more absorbent options and loosen the legs a tiny bit!

    Long inserts quite bulky

Clearance sales 30%off on every single nappies after I bought this “saver set” a week later…why don’t swap the promotion then won’t be upsetting the customers (me & my friends) The long inserts make the front quite bulky, so I decided to buy some more extra inserts from the other brand

    Happy

First time mum and I wanted to give modern cloth nappies a go. We are 2 weeks in and no more nappy rash for my son. It’s pretty straight forward when it comes to washing and I love the patterns.

    My favourite cloth nappy!

With having 3 kids I’ve tried all sorts of cloth nappies and I have you say Econaps are my fave by far. Easy to assemble, very absorbent, cute modern designs and great fit for my chunky 3 month old.
